1. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will implement Miyawaki plantations in Delhi-NCR.

• The Miyawaki method, a Japanese approach to afforestation, aims to create dense, native forests rapidly, enhancing groundwater retention, air and soil quality, and biodiversity.

• The 'Young India Group' in Raipur developed a mini-forest using the Japanese 'Miyawaki' method, planting over 2,500 saplings in 5,000 sq ft at Gandhi Udyan to combat air pollution.

• Miyawaki forests are known for absorbing 30% more CO2.
